The CPH Foundation is launching three new member categories in preparation for 2015. The benifits of each category are detailed in our newly developed fliers, which outline our corporate, nonprofit and individual and donor levels. We encourage new and returning members to look over these materials to find a donor level that's right for your group, your circumstances, or that fits your passion for prevention and public health.
By joining The CPH Foundation, you support our programs and mission. We hope you will join other leaders in the nonprofit, association, and business communities who are committed to:
And remember, memberships are not the only way to support CPH Foundation. Charitable donations, targeted programmatic funds, and sponsorships are also welcomed.
WHY JOIN THE CPH FOUNDATION?
New research and diagnostic tools, more robust public health data, and improved prevention science are all strengthening the hand of disease control and prevention experts. Still, 70 cents of every health care dollar is used to treat preventable illnesses, conditions and diseases. While the Affordable Care Act authorized several prevention-focused provisions and programs, the law did not reverse the deterioration of our nation’s critical public health infrastructure.
Today, at the local, state, and federal level, fewer people and fewer dollars are combating preventable health conditions using proven programs and technologies.
By partnering with policy makers, non-profit groups, media outlets, businesses and others, we strive to convey the value disease control and prevention brings to the public – not just through improved health, but also through cost savings and greater economic vitality.
Our leadership began advocating for increases to federal public health budgets more than a decade ago, launching CPHF in 2009 to more aggressively educate policy makers about the need for continued and increased federal investment in public health. To meet our goal, we promote greater awareness of proven public health interventions; highlight successful federal, state and local prevention and wellness programs; and advocate for those who respond to public health problems and disease related threats.
The CPH Foundation raises awareness of disease control and prevention efforts through our core programs: policy briefings on a range of topics; tours of public health facilities for targeted audiences; an annual Unsung Heroes of Public Health awards competition and related Congressional reception; award-winning educational materials; federal prevention funding analysis and production of media-friendly graphics; and media outreach efforts that tell the story of public health’s positive impact.
We look forward to working with you to advance the health and economic security of the nation.
